The Saturday Symphony #33 #OctoberEdition #SpooksAndCreeps

Hey everyone,
Welcome to the 33rd edition of The Saturday Symphony.

Tis the season to be scary. Whether soft or hard-hearted, bracing for a freight or anxious for the thrill, the one thing horror gives us all; is feeling.
It stirs the blood and gets the heart racing.

In real life, fear is an undesirable state, yet there is so much we learn through it. It shows us who we are, and therein what we can do to change our faults, or to accept ourselves as we are.

She led him there at dawn of fall
A mother and her son in law
To right the wrong of daughter hurt
Tree and fog know it all…
Halloween ballad

The girl was born preordained by destiny
Many tried to mould her but nature would not succumb to nurture
The Shadow lured her without effort. She belonged to it, and only in that darkness could she simply be-
without trying, without conforming. Unscathed by worldly light

PONDEROUS THOUGHT Prompt

Spooks and Creeps.
This month’s prompt is simple; write something scary.

You can use art, any form of writing or media.
Pingback to this post and drop a link in the comments so I can visit, and feature you in next month’s symphony.

My soul was made in colour.
Dark shades that once boasted of unending depths,
and bright hues which flirted with boundless heights.
But alas, the world judges in black and white.
In one’s idea of right and wrong.
In one’s perception of darkness and light…
Meant to be

Thank you all for sharing your beautiful music and poetry.

owls hoot, crickets screek
the autumn myths ressurect
listen but beware
pain stains nightingale’s lament
As secrets gloss Fall’s beauteous words
Winter is coming!

Many who wander the Angel’s woods find what they are looking for. They are offered a choice between what they want and what is wanted of them. To take or to give. A Sepia decision! Where right and wrong cannot be discerned.
For the Angel will bless by cursing, and curse by blessing. And only time will tell which was which…

Hope you enjoy this. Look forward to thoughts, submissions, and especially adopting new favourites.

  1. While I was born close to this spooky holiday – the only thing I ever really enjoyed was making costumes. I don’t bother celebrating it anymore. I don’t give out treats either.

I did watch the second ‘Hocus Pocus’ movie on the Disney Channel that a relative has. Best to see the comedy or else one might be lured to the daaark sssside!!!

I’ll try to come up with something… though creepy and fright isn’t my thing. Cheers. Jules.
