Angel Numbers #Haibun poetry and prose

1271 – the ancient Banyan oak is born, mother of the forest.
1271 – name of the first steam engine, lost forever, tracks forgotten, forest preserved.
1271 – The Angel number!

The Angel has used many names. Most are long forgotten. Those still remembered are different in every way but one; they all add up to the number 1271.
The mystics behind this number have been debated by sharmans and spiritualists across cultures for millenia unceasing. And through all their claims, proofs, beliefs and denouncements, there has only ever been one consensus:
The Angel is a Sepia being. On the edge of deepest evil and highest virtue. Its blessings often turn to curses, while its curses age into blessings. For this is a fallen being. Benign and sinister.

Many who wander the Angel’s woods find what they are looking for. They are offered a choice between what they want and what is wanted of them. To take or to give. A Sepia decision! Where right and wrong cannot be discerned.
For the Angel will bless by cursing, and curse by blessing. And only time will tell which was which

Although they may appear in the most ordinary places, Angel numbers usually grab our attention and — even if for only a moment — evoke a sense of wonder.

A guide to Angel numbers and what they mean.

P.S This is mostly a work of fiction but the concept of Angel numbers is an existing spiritual one. Are Angel numbers something you can believe in, or even Angels themselves?

I’ve been away for a bit. Feels great to be back.
I have some very interesting news any day soon this week, so keep an eye on this space.
Hope you enjoy this haibun. Looking forward to your thoughts as always.

For Colleen’s #tankatuesday taste the rainbow – I chose sepia as my colour of choice.
For Reena’s #RXC prompt – she provided the photo of the mysterious tree.
For Eugi’s moonwashed challenge – the sepia 1271 train.

Be safe. Be loving.

    1. Thank you so much Sadje. I think you missed the last quote and question that I’ve just edited in. Just food for thought, and interesting research link.

      1. It is my understanding that Angels all have numbers and there are those who know how to calculate them. Just like the beast’s number in revelations.

  1. Its blessings often turn to curse, while its curses age into blessing. I like this sentence as it’s true. Wonderful write,Jude!💖
I also believe in angel numbers and guardian angels. My guardian angel guided and protected me twice.

    1. Thank you so much Jane. Ah, Angels alas. I personally think they may act through people at times. My Angels are all alive.

      1. You’re always welcome, Jude! I do not know the names and places of my angels. They just helped me and I didn’t say thank you, they disappeared into the crowd.💖

    1. Thank you very much, Colleen. I’m glad you like the blog. I’m still tweaking it. Not too much I can do with a free site but I can work with it for now.

  2. If one believes in Karma… I would guess that they would also have to believe in good and bad forces.

‘Numerology (also known as arithmancy) is the belief in an occult, divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. It is also the study of the numerical value, via an alphanumeric system, of the letters in words and names’
…When numerology is applied to a person’s name, it is a form of onomancy.’

I think if we produce good thoughts, like prayers for another persons health – that person (even if they don’t know you prayed for them)… recieve that positive energy.

I guess I’m more practical these days than to believe in other man made doctrines.
Be good, get good. Though bad things happen to good people too… life is a challenge.
